Nicki Minaj has appeased the Barbz with an announcement of the release-date for her next album as well as it's titled.

Minaj tweeted on Thursday (June 29th) the name of the new project, dubbing it Pink Friday 2. likely indicating the new album to be a sequel to her debut-album Pink Friday. The upcoming project comes five years after Minaj's last album, Queen.

The tweet reads "Dear Barbz, I’ve been trying to find the right time to tell you this for a few days. Due to some really exciting news that I’ll share with you guys @ a later time, I’ve shifted the album date just a tad bit."

"Trust me, it’ll be WELL WORTH THE WAIT…but since I AM shifting the date just a tad, I’d like to give you guys a tiny SIP of some more album tea so that I don’t have to get cussed out so…here it goes: MY NEW ALBUM WILL BE RELEASED ON 11.17.23- And she shall be called #PinkFriday2," she revealed.

Continuing: "I love you guys so much. I am so grateful for the years of support & love you guys have given me. At times maybe I didn’t even deserve all that you have poured into me. Nonetheless, you. will. love. this. album. I will give tour deets closer to that time, but obviously the tour will start around the first quarter of 2024. I’ll also share the REAL album cover at a later date."

The original Pink Friday scored multiple accolades, including a number one spot on Billboard's Top 200 chart and a Best Rap Album nomination in the 2012 Grammys. Such successes lead to the release of several hit singles of the Trinidadian artist, including "Super Bass" and "Moment 4 Life".

Minaj has achieved even more as of late, such as earning the title of the first female solo rapper to reach Billboard's Hot 100 since Lauryn Hill in 1998, due to the success of her recent single "Super Freaky Girl".

Along with other collaborations she's had this year, with artists like Lil Baby and Coi Leray, Minaj has been busy working alongside Ice Spice to put out hits like the remix to "Princess Diana" and the track "Barbie World", the latter serving as part of the soundtrack to the upcoming live-action Barbie movie.
