YK Osiris has recently addressed his actions after receiving heavy-criticism for sexually-assaulting Sukihana while at an event this past weekend
YK has recently come forward to apologize for forcibly-kissing Sukihana this past weekend, not long after the latter had deleted her Twitter account.
In footage taken from a match for Revolt's celebrity basketball tournament The Crew League that was held last weekend, YK Osiris appeared behind Sukihana as she was providing commentary of the game, placing his hands on her shoulders and attempting to kiss her. Sukihana is visibly-surprised and tries to turn away from him, but Osiris manages to force a kiss with her. He then walks away, appearing to try to build some levity in what has occurred while Sukihana seems to have been laughing off the action.
Check out the clip here:
The clip begun circulating on Tuesday (June 13th), and not long afterwards did users online begin calling for Osiris to face sexual-assault charges and condemning the lack of action taken by those around Sukihana to help her.
Since the footage had gone viral, Sukihana has had her Twitter account deleted (June 14th), but not before some final posts in which she wrote in one "I asked God to strengthen me and use me to help others and order my steps in his word. I just want to go away for a while," and in another post "I am hurt and I am scared to stand up for myself."
The same day Sukihana had deleted her Twitter, Osiris had posted an apology to the "Grinch" rapper.
"I want to publicly offer my sincerest apology to Sukihana," he wrote. "In an attempt to be playful, I misread the moment and violated Sukihana's boundaries," the "Worth It" rapper continued. "I understand the importance of consent and I am embarrassed by my behavior. I take full responsibility and have made multiple attempts to apologize. I have the utmost admiration for Sukihana and it was never my intention to disrespect her."
While there is viral footage of Osiris having violated Sukihana's consent to force a kiss with her, there has yet to be any charges brought against him. Sukihana has not given any other public statements beyond her posted tweets prior to her Twitter account deletion.
