J. Prince recently took to social media in an attempt to quell NBA YoungBoy's animosity towards the 6God artist
J. Prince trying to assume the role as moderator as he tries to prevent NBA YoungBoy from getting into a feud with Drake.
Last Friday (May 12th), YoungBoy's newest album Richest Opp released with a track titled "Fuck the Industry Pt. 2" that included a verse that calls out Drake for associating with YoungBoy's rival Lil Durk, even referring to the Canadian rapper as his "enemy".
Talked to Drake ‘cross FaceTime, he wasn’t feelin’ me/ Told me that he f*ck with Durk, damn, that sh*t gettin’ to me/ Told me that he like the sh*t I’m doin’, but can’t do sh*t with me/ So when we cross our ways, f*ck what you say, b*tch, you my enemy
J. Prince appeared to have taken notice of YoungBoy's animosity towards Drake, and took it upon himself to leave for Louisiana with Birdman accompanying him for the purpose of meeting up with the Baton Rouge rapper and prevent any beef from brewing.
"To the lil homie, as I said to you privately, I say to you publicly that Drake is my son, he roll with me. Therefore, I think it’s a good idea to take him off your enemy list because the truth of the matter is that we got nothing but love for Durk and your accomplishments," Prince stated in the IG post caption.
No one can be certain this meeting between Prince, Birdman, and YoungBoy Never Go Broke Again will actually amount to the latter choosing to back off from going after Drake, especially since the "Right Foot Creep" rapper has been rather vocal in the past when it comes to calling out those he has a problem with.
Drake has yet to issue a response to YoungBoy's diss or the J. Prince/Birdman meeting.
